Kivik

Joey and I finally got around to buying a new couch— the Ikea Kivik dansbo dark grey.  Actually, we finally got around to this over two weeks ago, but I hadn't shared the news because of a slight delay in getting the piece assembled...Apparently the slip cover that we chose is very popular because we had to make three trips to the Swedish mega store before we were able to find one in stock!

All Ikea furniture assembly begins this way in our home.  A moment of silence.

Checking all the parts is next step.

Supervising— ie, staying out of the way —is an important responsibility.

So this is what we had for a while.  Kind of futon-ish.

Finally!  We got our slip cover and began assembling our couch!

Couldn't have been easier. Snug and clean fit that can easily be changed if we ever covet another Kivik cover. ;)  I also really love the feel of the fabric, which I think will be durable.

I rarely like new things immediately, but this couch is an exception.  Well made, great price, classic look, super comfty.  I'm happy, Joey's happy, Berke's happy!

Looks great Leslie! Love the colour and the 'moment of silence' made me smile! I think I need to try that :) xx
