Grocery Day: 7.15.12
Sunday, July 15, 2012 at 12:45PM
Since Joey and I are having chickpeas in two of our dinners this week, I thought that I'd research their health benefits. Here's what I found:
Garbanzo beans (chickpeas) provide an excellent source of molybdenum. They are a very good source of folic acid, fiber, and manganese. They are also a good source of protein, as well as minerals such as iron, copper, zinc, and magnesium. As a good source of fiber, garbanzo beans can help lower cholesterol and improve blood sugar levels.
Sounds good to me!
